What’s on.
Professional development meets networking.
Upcoming events
We will hold a mix of professional development and networking events throughout the year. They’re a great opportunity for professional communicators to build their networks, acquire new skills and learn about the current trends in business communications.
The best ideas come from our members and the broader communication community. If there’s a topic you’d like to learn more about, let us know and we’ll take it into consideration when we plan our upcoming events. We’d love to hear your event suggestions - please email us.
If you are interested in presenting to the IABC Western Australia membership group, we would love to hear from you, too.
From Chaos to Clarity: Crisis Communications Workshop
As communication professionals, we understand the profound and far-reaching impact crises can have on organisations, threatening reputation, trust, and stability.
Join IABC Western Australia, in collaboration with our event partner, FTI Consulting, for an interactive session led by Senior Managing Director, Cameron Morse and Senior Director, Mike Groves.
Participants will navigate a real-time crisis scenario, testing decision-making under pressure.
Designed for both seasoned professionals and newcomers, the session covers crisis response strategies, common pitfalls, and best practices—from proactive measures to post-crisis recovery.
Attendees will gain hands-on experience to strengthen crisis preparedness and response whilst understanding the perspective of leaders across an organisation, from outside the field of communications.
The event also offers an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers.
Don’t miss the chance to sharpen your crisis communication skills and effectively safeguard your organisation's reputation.
A big thank you to our wonderful event partners FTI Consulting, and our venue partner Lavan.
When: Wednesday, June 11 | 5:30 - 8pm AWST
